Protecting your data is important. This notice explains what data is processed when you visit this website and what choices you have. The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is Holger Bruchelt (see imprint above).

Hosting

The website is hosted on Azure Static Web Apps (Microsoft). When you access the site, the hosting infrastructure automatically processes technical information (such as your IP address, browser type, and time of access) in server logs. This is necessary to deliver the site securely and is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).

No analytics or tracking cookies are set until you give your consent. On your first visit a cookie-consent banner appears. Only if you accept the analytics category are the tools described below loaded. Your choice is stored in a small, strictly necessary cookie (cc_cookie) so the banner does not reappear on every visit. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer. Consent is the legal basis for analytics cookies (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR).

Google Analytics (GA4)

After you consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Ltd. It helps us understand how visitors use the site (e.g. which episodes are popular). IP anonymization is enabled, so your IP address is truncated before any storage. Google may transfer data to servers in the USA. Google sets cookies such as _ga and _gid. Microsoft Clarity

After you consent, we use Microsoft Clarity to analyse aggregated usage (e.g. clicks and scrolling) to improve the site. Clarity sets cookies such as _clck and _clsk and is provided by Microsoft Corporation. If you decline or withdraw consent, these cookies are removed. Embedded video content (YouTube)

Episode pages link to or embed videos hosted on YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd.). When you click or play a video, YouTube may set its own cookies and process data according to Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing of your personal data.
