7 years at Microsoft

| Robert Boban |

Goodbye SAP

Episode #177

Introduction

In episode 177 of our SAP on Azure video podcast we talk about Robert :-) I’m not sure about the exact year but let’s say 15 years ago I was working at SAP and I got introduced probably via email to Robert Boban. Robert was working at that time at the value prototyping team. I was very much engaged already at that time in Microsoft integration projects. I was part of the NetWeaver Regional Implementation Group and in this context I was looking at integrating a search scenario across the SAP and Microsoft stack. I got introduced to Robert and I immediately saw his passion, his dedication and his willingness to help & support. It was super cool to work with him. Then, seven years ago I joined Microsoft and obviously still at SAP I was going around saying “Goodbye” to a lot of good friends and I also reached out to Robert. I told him that I am going to Microsoft and it was super cool to hear that apparently he had made the same decision and he would also join Microsoft just one month or so later than I. Well, today as you might have guessed from the title and also looking at Roberts name here in Teams, we do have some interesting news: Robert is actually going back to SAP, so after having worked with him quite closely especially in the beginning on SAP on Microsoft infrastructure, but also integration topics, he’s now going back to SAP. Luckily we will still have the opportunity to work with him – and since we are an SAP and Microsoft podcast he will continue to host this show with us. So in today’s episode we’re basically looking back with Robert at seven years at Microsoft
